a few words about me

Read My Story

“My road to fitness is quite a different one compared to normal personal trainers and quite a long one at that. ”

I was born with a rare condition called Hirschsprung’s disease which resulted on me having both my bowels removed onto my stomach, after 3 years and 6 months in hospital deaths door 3 times from birth and many operations later I’m left with a colostomy bag.

Growing up was different I mean around 38 different operations is a lot, in and out of hospital all my life and constantly sick due to my immune system being basically non existent is very different. I would always be constantly fatigued due to not getting any nutrients and minerals from my diet because of my condition.

I never really attended school due to my illnesses and when I did I was in a complete different part due too missing a lot of it.

A old teacher of mine is to thank for finding my love for sports and fitness, He was the only one who managed to motivate me and believed in me from school. Bearing in mind When I was younger I never had been able to walk longer then 10 mins without having to sit down. I got into basketball and managed to play for Solent kestrels for a little while but could no longer continue due to always being sick after the game which would last a few days.

The doctors could never give me an Awnser to why until last year (2020) i came out of that school with only two GCSEs PE and ICT I was happy I had got any. I went on to college for a year and studied spots and fitness instructing. I went on to start the gym properly with a friend (who was a PT) they taught me a lot of what I know now so I decided to go for a personal training course out of college.

I went from no qualifications too having come out of college with distinctions finding a job in a gym to have experience and getting my Personal training qualification with tons of CPDs to go with it.

I wasn’t able to lift the bar due to how weak I was and just before Covid I lifted 180kg and still growing to this day.

I still struggle with my conditions to this day but no where near as bad as what it was because of the gym! I finally found out why I experienced bad circulation and pain in my legs as well as being in constant fatigue. My vena cava vain in my leg is non existent which has caused blood pooling in my legs this causes the blood to not be transported back up to the heart. I have a cluster of veins close to my heart which others normally don’t have. they are there to try and circulate my blood properly. They’ve done a pretty good job considering I’m here still!

Doing what I do and what I’ve studied and my knowledge of the gym and my my own problems and experiences I’ve been able to help others with there’s as well! And that’s all I want to do is help others as I know what’s it’s like to be put down, feel fat feel skinny feel weak and unmotivated I’ve been there and came out of it.

I surrounded myself with people who made me feel good who motivated me to get better and continue with my dream of teaching others how to become healthier and to motivate others.

I Saw my improvements saw how much it helped me and my conditions and where it got me today!
